The Blockbuster TV Serial Tum Dena Saath Mera was a story of blind girl Simran and dumb boy Samar, was premiered on Doordarshan National (DD1) on November 23, 2009.

The serial, produced by Rahul Bhat and Sharika Bhat and directed by Rahul Bhat, has music by Madan Shankar and cinematography by Prakash. The star cast of the serial includes Chandramukhi Fame Piku Sharma as Simran(Female Lead), Amit as Samar(Male Lead), Rajiv Verma as Samar's Father, Gajendra Chauhan as Simran's Father "Gurnam Singh" and Hemant Chadha as Lakhwinder Singh 'Laakha'(Male Villan).

The story revolves around the life of a blind girl, Simran who falls in love with a mute boy, Samarjeet, her childhood friend (both physically challenged people). Physical deformities like being blind, deaf and dumb are no more hurdles for physically challenged people in leading normal lives. All they need is family and social acceptance. Tum Dena Saath Mera is a story of two such physically challenged people - a mute boy 'Samar' and a blind girl 'Simran' - and their life, bravely facing troubles and turbulence. The problems are compounded by their inability to communicate with each other freely. Set in culturally rich and colourful rural Punjab, the story highlights the social stigma and the mindset of the parents of such children and how through sheer determination and family support, this couple make their mark.

Sukhsinder Sindha's Gumsum Gumsum Pyar Da Mausam Song was became very pupular those days as the Director Rahul Bhat used this song many times to show the love scenes between samar and simran. With the success of show, the song also became popular.
